All Box handlebars are designed and manufactured with our Oversized technology. The handlebars serve a dual purpose: they contribute to both steering and pedaling stiffness. By strategically varying the wall thickness and tube diameter, we shifted the material from three low-stress areas to high-load areas. This significantly reduced torsion and contributed to responsiveness. At the same time, we increased pedaling stiffness by adding a "lift-up" check. There's no point pushing hard on the pedals if you can't pull the bars and deliver that power. Power can easily be lost through bar flex, which can lead to poor power distribution and poor steering control. Combined with Box's other Oversized components, you'll benefit from increased responsiveness and reduced latency.
Key differences: This handlebar model is designed for taller riders. Designed and inspired by Cameron Wood, this Cowboy-inspired titanium handlebar allows us to explore the structural rigidity of steel without sacrificing weight. It's a solution as exotic as carbon fiber, but offers a slightly different result for the demanding competitor. Carbon contributes to a more aggressive steering response, while titanium offers increased sensitivity while remaining more refined.
